It's a little hard to see, so I'll try to get a better photo soon...
The two sides of my life. The left side is bright and happy, with colors straight out of the paint tube. the pride bandana is based on one I got at Atlanta Pride 2010 (I think Macy's gave them out?).The Necklace is a gift from my girlfriend (almost a year now!!) and the kanji is love.
the right side is all with muted colors (specifically colors mixed with their complement/opposite). On it is a cross necklace, a bottle of perscription pills (specifically anti-depression) and bubble wrap. The kanji is also love but is missing the integral and cenral 心 part of the first kanji. 心 means heart, spirit, mind, soul, and center. So what is love without 心?
The left side is painting over the right, showing my acceptance of myself and change in my life. The bubble wrap represents 'protection' but also how it's easily poped/destroyed. It is not a very strong protector.
